DIY Holiday Gift Ideas | Artist’s Network University

As artist’s we’re always looking for new ways to create and connect. The holidays are a great time to do both! The holiday season might seem far away, but like every year, they’ll be here before you can say “Happy New Year!” If your friends and family are like mine, then the holidays can also be an opportunity to show off our talents with hand-made gifts.

I love giving (and receiving) unique artistic gifts during the holidays and there are plenty of places to find great tutorials and ideas (did someone say Pinterest?). But if you’re looking for something that gives you more guidance and feedback and fewer filtered photos as you create your work, then the 2-week holiday sessions at Artist’s Network University are not to be missed.

Grant Fuller has designed a brand new course for this holiday season that shows you how to bring a more personal approach to your holiday cards. You’ll create your own, unique, composition then turns it into a printable holiday card that is sure to spread seasonal cheer!

Grant works in watercolor, but all artists are welcome to join this course. DIY Fine Art Holiday Cards starts on November 29th so you’ll be ready to roll when the holidays come around!

And holiday cards aren’t the only way to make your mark this holiday season! Debora L. Stewart‘s new course, Creating and Framing Small Abstracted Winterscapes shows you how to create seasonal abstract compositions that make great gifts! Not only will you learn tips for how to compose and create black & white and color abstracts using pastels you’ll also get great tips from professional artist, Debora Stewart on framing your completed pieces.

I’m sure that your friends and family will love to hang your work on their walls, this course starts on December 6th, so there’s plenty of time to create your work and put it under the tree!

If you’re looking for creative gifts and quality instruction, these two courses are the perfect pick. We have many great courses (with finished pieces that are also worthy of gifts) starting every week. Learn more and check out our course calendar here!
