Don’t miss the Southeast Region of the American Society of Marine Artists’ first regional art show. You can see Southern Waters March 10 until April 11 at the Art League of Manatee County Gallery in Bradenton, Florida. This juried exhibit will showcase artists from 10 Southern states and the Virgin Islands. Contemporary works will depict sea life, coastal scenes, working boats, pleasure craft, tall ships and freighters. There will also be a plein air paint out and a lecture on maritime art on March 11 at the art league.

The American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA) is a non-profit, national organization that strives to recognize and promote marine art. The society was founded in 1979 and welcomes as members everyone interested in marine art, the history of marine art and maritime heritage.
