If you look at people’s skin tones you’ll see lots of different colors. Try to exaggerate them on your underpainting and then overpaint as little or as much as you like. This is the pure beauty of watercolor, when the underpainting peeks through and the colors just glows–that’s the magic of layering! Paint the color you see by glazing different layers. It’s a great lesson and will help you learn both the wash technique and your color personalities.
