I’m happy to share more good news from Ali Cavanaugh (featured in the December 2009 issue of Watercolor
Artist), who has even more fabulous paintings to show off in a new solo exhibition. This past Saturday, Cavanaugh’s work was presented for the exhibition, “In a Moment of Unintended Pause,” on view through July 3 at Austin, Texas’ Wally Workman Gallery.
“I am moved to portray the human figure in two aspects: body and soul,” says the artist. “The
image of a young female figure reaches into a part of my experience
that contains infinite ideas and images.”
Cavanaugh has also been working on several commissioned paintings, which can be seen on her blog. Check them out here.
