“I’m interested in the subjectivity of perception and the power of memory, using illusion to trigger recollections of things past,” says Tula Telfair. Since 1989, she has taught at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Her paintings have been exhibited in shows entitled “The Importance of the Environment” at the American Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and are part of AT&T and Metropolitan Life collections. Forum Gallery (www.forumgallery.com), in Los Angeles and New York City, represents her work.
