Labeling Slides

Whenever you send out slides, make sure they’re clearly labeled. On the front of your slide (“front” is the side that faces you when you hold it up to view correctly), include the title of your work, the medium, the dimensions of the piece, the year the piece was completed, your copyright notice ((c) plus the year and your name) and an arrow indicating the top of the piece. The arrow is especially important for abstract and some floral pieces—don’t leave it to others to guess which end is up. On the reverse side, include your name, address and phone number. One last tip: You can save time and make sure your information is legible by generating small labels from your computer.
