Be Bold and Share Your Art With the World

Maple, Wisconsin has a population that’s under 700 (as of the 2000 census). Of those 700 or so residents, at least one of them is an accomplished artist who has won first place in The Artist’s Magazine’s Annual Art Competition. To be specific, in 2012, the floral/still life category; the artist: Jeffrey T. Larson.

While New York and L.A. are known hotspots for artists to be discovered and to “make it” in the art world, there is one way to sneak your foot in the door of becoming known: enter a reputable fine art contest. Ours has seen winners come from every corner of the globe–small town USA, India, Germany, Canada, and beyond. The benefit of entering and winning is to expose your work to potential students, buyers, publishers, etc., and to win cash. But another, often unseen benefit, is to share your work with our team of editors who are always on the lookout for artists to feature in the upcoming year. For example, Jeffrey’s work, which we discovered via the competition, has been featured twice in The Artist’s Magazine.

No matter where you are in the country or the world, we invite you to enter your best art in this year’s competition. Click here to learn more about the prizes, categories and guidelines.

Wishing you the best of luck,
Cherie
