Having made a slow segue from illustration into fine art, all the while remaining committed to each discipline, Larry Moore is now a prominent painter and instructor with an impressive record of awards for his work. Moore’s experience in graphic design and illustration has always gone hand-in-hand with his fine art paintings. The atmospheric plein air works done near his home in Winter Park, Fla., as well as in many other locales, harmonize with dramatic, narrative pieces done in-studio.
Below is a selection of Moore’s illustrations (for The Orlando Opera Company), figures and landscapes.
Of Mice and Men
Before the Curtain (20×16)
The Dresser (20×16)
Mills and Nebraska (20×14)
Morning Haze (12×14)
