Now you and your children can color lifelike portraits with crayons. With Crayon by Number 2.0, a CD-ROM available from Wentworth Institute, you can scan any photo and turn it into a paint-by-number style outline. Then use a standard box of just six to 10 crayons and bring your outline to life. Processing each photo into a numbered outlines takes about two minutes and consists of four easy steps: scanning the photo, cropping, setting the complexity level (tailored to the artists ability) and processing/printing the outline.
