If, like me, you photograph your own paintings, here’s a tip you’ll want to try. Use black matboard to temporarily mat your work. I keep two matboards on hand for when I photograph my work: one cut to fit a full-sheet watercolor and one cut to fit a half-sheet watercolor. I simply fit the precut matboard around my painting, and when I zoom in on the painting, the black board becomes virtually invisible in the finished slide or photo.
