Hello fellow artists. The Artist’s Magazine blog has asked me to share some of my art tips, art marketing and social media advice with their valuable readers—you! I’m excited to be a part of this blog and I look forward to getting to know you all through your comments.
Some of you might know me from my own art blog, FineArtTips.com. Or maybe we’ve met on Twitter and Facebook, or perhaps at an Oil Painters of America art exhibit or maybe a gallery opening?
Nevertheless, before I start blogging I want to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Lori McNee; some of you might know me from Twitter as @lorimcneeartist. I am an internationally recognized professional artist who specializes in still life and landscape oil paintings. I am also now considered an art-marketing expert for the valuable fine art tips, art business tips and social media advice I share on my blog.
I’m a big fan and believer in the power of social media as a free marketing medium for artists to embrace. I’m a member of Oil Painters of America and exhibit my work in museums and galleries throughout our nation. My artwork has been featured in many national magazines. Currently, I rank as one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women on Twitter and I was recently featured in The Huffington Post and named a TwitterPowerhouse by them. I even am a television hostess for PlumTV. I thank social media for much of my success.
I will look forward to my upcoming posts where I will contribute my knowledge along with tips on how working artists can learn to brand themselves and promote their art careers using this new online marketing medium. It’s an adventure worth taking.
Happy creating ~Lori
