The bird and foliage are very well rendered, and now I know what a least bittern is! I have a few suggestions. For atmospheric effect, the artist might want to soften some of the edges of the leaves in varying degrees. The bottom area of the painting could have more variety in shape, size, and color temperature—warmer colors could be used in the foreground, and cooler colors could be used in the back areas. Also, the minute size of the feed could be used as a detail amongst some of the larger shapes.
