If you want to see your artwork in the pages of Drawing magazine, here is your chance! Drawing’s second annual Shades of Gray Competition is now accepting submissions. The deadline for entry is September 9.
The Shades of Gray Competition challenges artists to submit their best works created entirely in shades of black, white, and gray—with no other colors. Any subject matter may be submitted.
Work in numerous media are eligible. Winning works in last year’s inaugural contest were created in such media as charcoal, graphite, chalk, pastel, silverpoint, and encaustic. The Grand-Prize winning image, by Indiana artist Joseph Crone, was created with black and white colored pencil.
Top winners receive up to $1,000 in cash, and all winning works will be displayed in an upcoming issue of Drawing.
