Margaret Krug is a skilled, compelling artist and instructor, and author of An Artist's Handbook: Materials and Techniques. This year she is taking a small group of students on an drawing odyssey of sorts, traveling to Spannocchia in central Italy, to observe the world deeply by drawing what you see. During the program, students will have the opportunity to discover and discuss the roots of drawing and its enduring function in our world, experiment with early techniques and materials like silver point on paper and iron gall ink (used by Leonardo and Rembrandt) as well as experimental processes, all the while immersed in the rich culture of the region.
Prior art instruction is required. For more information and/or an application, contact Margaret: firstname.lastname@example.org.
