Britton Francis graduated from the Alberta College of Art and was awarded a postgraduate scholarship to the Institute De Allende, Mexico. His highly representational but emotionally charged work has won several awards and honors. Recently he won the 2002 American Watercolor Society Mario Cooper and Dale Meyers Medal and the Spilsbury Gold Medal in the Federation of Canadian Artists Signature Exhibition. Britton?s work can be found in the public collection of the federal government of Canada, the Canada Council Art Bank, the government of British Columbia, The Mendel Public Art Museum, Alberta House (London), the Art Gallery of Hamilton (Ontario), and several other public, corporate and private collections. He currently lives in Sechlect, British Columbia.
