It is certainly true that the Pastel 100 offers significant cash prizes and fantastic art material prizes from manufacturers of favorite pastel goodies—Jack Richeson, Inc., Canson/Rembrandt, Terry Ludwig, PanPastels and UART. That alone is reason enough for entering, but one of the things that most distinguishes the Pastel 100 from other juried art opportunities is that every winning piece of art will be published and recognized in the publication, Pastel Journal to be seen by pastel enthusiasts all over the world.
As the Editor of the magazine, I know—right now—what artists will be featured in the upcoming December 2013 issue, the February 2014 issue, and even the June 2014 issue. What I don’t know is who will appear in the April 2014 special “Pastel 100” issue! That has yet to be revealed. And it won’t be determined until all of the competition entries have been viewed and judged. It’s so exciting!
If you would like to be among the 100 artists whose pastel work is recognized and celebrated in the issue, don’t miss tomorrow’s midnight deadline. Click here to enter!
You can see the winners of the five Grand Prizes in last year’s competition here.
The April 2013 issue featuring all 100 winners is available here.
Good luck, everyone!
