Israeli artist Yael Maimon enjoys painting in a series. The subject of her pastel series have ranged from cats to Parisian pastries to modern interpretations of fairy tales. “I feel that studying the same subject matter in different lighting, positions and scenery is an important part of getting to know the essential character of it,” Maimon says.
