Our minds are unequivocably blown. Not surprisingly, Google has taken on the art world, and, not surprisingly, in an amazing way. The corporation has partnered with 17 art museums around the globe, offering an interactive experience that’s next only to being there.
Similar to the way Google Maps or Google Earth works, the Google Art Project allows you to navigate through the museums’ galleries and view the works hanging on the walls. Then you can zoom in to a detail and explore certain marks and brushstrokes, access more information on the artist, the artwork, other works in the museum, and watch videos created by the museum about certain works. Additionally, you can create your own collection, adding comments to certain pieces, and share it via social network platforms.
This video will help you get started. Prepare for your new online addiction!
