Since watercolor first emerged as a medium in the Middle Ages, it has endured as an expressive tool for artists of all styles. In London, England, the Tate Britain is celebrating the longstanding history through their “Watercolour” exhibition.
The show features works spanning the past 800 years, and includes historic works as well as contemporary artists who continue to test the boundaries of the medium. The exhibition runs through August 21.
