I am not an oil painter so I had not looked at this vid before. That was a mistake on my part. Everything the artist did was clearly explained and an artist in any medium will find this worth their time. Thanks to the Marwell Park for all the good work they do for animals all over the World.

It was a pleasure to watch this informal artist work and hear how he approaches painting creatures that he clearly loves. I learned some new techniques to try.

This is a valuable and thorough video for any intermediate and above oil painter. It is also very useful if you paint in gouache, because his method of mostly dry-painting in small swatches with tints and tones and details with small brushes can be used for opaque gouache painting as well. As he is an artist-in-residence at a zoological park, his subjects and surroundings will also bring joy to any nature lover such as myself.

I enjoyed seeing the animals as well as watching him paint them.
