Perseverance is a lifelong habit that may serve you well. Last year, the artworks from our Over 60 Art Competition represented artists with a variety of backgrounds and life stories. Although all exhibited an early creative streak, many were unable to devote themselves fully to their art until recent years. Over and over again, though, they expressed this fail-safe advice for improving one’s craft—advice they’ve tested through the decades and found true: Don’t wait. Never stop.
