Color harmony can be one of those notions artists shy away from because there are so many contradictory methods and formulas taught for achieving it. But for me, a natural color harmony boils down to this commandment: Thou shalt not use more than two of the three primaries in their pure form in the same painting. Most times, for even better unification, Ill use only one pure primary, either by limiting the colors on my palette or by simple selection and careful mixing during the painting process.
