While those of us at The Artist’s Magazine love coming in to the friendly halls of our office each day, we recently headed out to visit Indianapolis for Art Materials World 2010, an event sponsored by and commonly referred to as NAMTA (International Art Materials Trade Association). It’s during NAMTA that art retailers and manufacturers/suppliers from around the world come together along with many others in this vibrant community.
Walking up and down the aisles of the show, we gathered information about new products (keep your eyes open for these in The Artist’s Magazine); watched artists demonstrating with the newest paints and other materials that we hope to share with you; and my personal favorite, networked and met with others in the industry that we’ve come to know well over the years. And that was just during the day. Evenings brought out thrilling conversations about what we personally find inspiring and the love of love that brings us all together in the first place: art.
Don’t tell my Mom, but I even smoked a cigarette.
