About Debora Stewart
Debora L. Stewart is an abstract artist working in both pastel and acrylic. She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America. Her pastels have won awards from Pastel Journal Magazine, International Artist Magazine and the Pastel Society of America. Stewart is represented by galleries in Iowa, Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona and California. Her work is in private collections and public including the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Through the years she has developed a unique way of working with pastel and acrylic by combining under painting, value drawing and textured grounds. Debora is a regular instructor with Artists Network University where she teaches an online course in creating abstract pastels. She also teaches workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Heavy watercolor or pastel paper that accepts water (Debora uses Reeves BFK paper for the demos)
Pastels (Debora uses Unison brand)
Variety of hard and soft pastels
Variety of warm and cool colors, and neutrals
Variety of values (dark, medium and light for each color)
Full Demo 1: orange & blue color scheme in a range of values and hues, with cream, gray and yellow ochre as neutral colors (and yellow greens for added interest)
Full Demo 2: Blue Green, Blue & Blue Violet, with cream, yellow ochre, white and gray as neutral colors
Fluid Acrylic Paint

Synthetic brushes for acrylic paint–wide wash brushes
