I´ve given this video 4 stars because I think C. Saper is a good teacher. I have bought other videos of her giving painting demonstrations, and have found them very informative and helpful. However, in this one she doesn´t actualy paint a portrait, or even start to paint. She only mixes the colors. which is very necessary of course, but the title of the video made me think that she would then actually paint a portrait using those colors, of at least of one of her subjects. The title would better be: How to MIX oil paint for skin tones. Lana
What she basically does here is go through different skin types and creates a limited palette of those skin type colors. Though I think this is a vital step in the painting process, technically she does no painting in the video, making the title confusing. So, if you want to learn about mixing different skin type colors, get this, if you are looking into how to actually put paint on a surface, try one of her other videos.
