Description
Watercolor is one of the most versatile mediums ever created, and it has many faces, so to speak. For example, it acts in different ways according to surface, paint application, and technique. In this workshop, we will explore dramatic ways to use watercolor. The course starts by painting wet-into-wet. We will pour for spontaneous, dramatic beginnings. We will paint on a coated surface, which make for exciting and surprising results. The course ends with a painting demonstration in which we focus on design and exploiting the vital force of watercolor, while staying in control of the composition. It’s a time to explore and experiment with different approaches to push yourself into unexpected and stimulating adventures. It’s a time to enter the realm of new beginnings and new endings. It’s a time to light that creative spark and explode with new ideas and innovative methods of creation.
