Do you want to create more depth and structure in your drawings or paintings? Have you tried drawing in perspective before, but “don’t get it”? Do you want to want to improve your sketching, making faster, more accurate perspective drawings? This course is designed to help!
In this course, you’ll find a series of drawing and observation exercises, leading you step-by-step through the process of learning how to draw in perspective. You’ll learn:
- Drawing in 1, 2, and 3 point perspective.
- Observing linear perspective in your environment.
- Drawing rooms in 1 and 2 point perspective.
- Creating perspective grids.
- Evenly-spaced verticals, like telephone poles, fences, and windows.
- Ellipses and cylinders in perspective.
- Correctly drawing curves and inclined planes.
- Tackling complex objects by drawing a set of stairs.
Skill Level
Students of all levels are encouraged to participate in this course.
Format
This course is offered “On Demand” and has no instructor attached to provide feedback on assignments or participate in discussion. You will have access to discussion boards and gallery, where you can share work and ideas with other students in the community. Come join the fun!
